Hover the notch to open it. Move away and it closes. Nothing to arrange, nothing to pin.
Music from any player
Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube in your browser: see what's playing, skip, pause and seek without switching windows.
Synced lyrics
Tap the lyrics button and the notch splits in two, with each line lighting up as it's sung. Click a line to jump there.
Focus timer
Start a Pomodoro session and watch it count down in the notch. A soft chime tells you when to take a break.
Water reminder
Set your bottle size and daily goal. Nusa reminds you during your hours and charts how much you drank.
File shelf
Drag files onto the notch to keep them close, then drag them out into a chat, an email or another folder.
To-do with reminders
Jot a task, give it a time, and the notch taps you on the shoulder when it's due.
Volume, brightness and keys
Clean overlays for volume and brightness, plus a nudge when Caps Lock turns on or your keyboard language changes.

Nusa is built natively for Windows, not on a hidden web browser. It sits quietly until something happens, then gets out of the way again.

Nusa opens on its own every time you sign in, so the notch is always there when you need it.

Got a laptop with a thick top bezel? The closed notch becomes a thin black line. Lyrics, alerts and hover still work as usual.

Good to know
The free version uses a fixed daily water goal of 1.5 L.

Click ^ on the taskbar, right-click the Nusa icon, then choose Exit. Windows can't remove Nusa while it's running.

Nusa is a new app made by one independent developer. Windows hasn't seen it downloaded many times yet, so it shows a caution message. Here's how to get past it.
"NusaSetup.zip isn't commonly downloaded"
- In your downloads, click See more (or …) next to the file.
- Choose Keep.
- Click Show more, then Keep anyway.
"Windows protected your PC"
- Right-click NusaSetup.zip, choose Extract All, then open NusaSetup.exe.
- If Windows warns you, click More info, then Run anyway.
- Follow the installer. Nusa appears at the top of your screen.
Why you can trust it
- Checked before every release with dozens of antivirus engines on VirusTotal, including Microsoft Defender.
- No admin rights and nothing hidden: it installs for your user only and uninstalls cleanly from Settings.
- Your data stays on your PC. No accounts, no tracking. The only connection is to LRCLIB for song lyrics.
- Keyboard keys, explained: Nusa listens only for volume, brightness, Caps Lock and language keys to show their overlays. It never records what you type.
- The warning will fade as more people install Nusa and Windows gets to know it.

Is Nusa free?
Nusa is free to download right now. In the future, Nusa may become a paid app. Any change will be announced on this page first, and the copy you've already downloaded keeps working. If you'd like to support Nusa, there's a coffee link above.
Which music players work?
Any player that shows up in the Windows media overlay: Spotify, Apple Music, Windows Media Player, and most players in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, including YouTube.
Why doesn't a song have lyrics?
Lyrics come from LRCLIB, a free community library. Popular songs almost always have synced lyrics; some local or newer songs don't yet.
Will it slow down my PC?
No. Nusa only draws while something on it is moving. When it's idle it uses no CPU at all, even with music playing in the background.
My antivirus flagged the installer. Is it safe?
Nusa listens for the volume, brightness, Caps Lock and language keys so it can show their overlays, which a few antivirus tools treat with suspicion. It never records or sends what you type. Only download it from this page.
How do I update?
Download the latest installer and run it. It replaces the old version and keeps your tasks, water log and shelf.
How do I quit or stop it starting with Windows?
Click the Nusa icon in the system tray, near the clock. From there you can turn off "Start with Windows", turn the mascot off with "Nusa Mascot", switch to "Minimal notch", or choose Exit.
Privacy
Nusa doesn't collect personal data and has no analytics. Your tasks, water log, shelf and settings are saved only on your computer, in your user folder.
When you use lyrics, Nusa sends the song title, artist and length to LRCLIB (lrclib.net) to find matching lyrics.
In the Microsoft Store version, buying Nusa Pro is handled entirely by Microsoft. Nusa only asks the Store whether Nusa Pro is unlocked on your account and never sees your payment details. Nothing else leaves your computer.
